Split Face option in Rapidform XOR

Split Facecommand splits target entity with the Projection, Silhouette or Intersecion method. After Split Face, the target entity has several faces but it is still a single entity. This command is useful when you want to add edges on a solid or surface body.

How to use Split command
Options in Detail

- Projection – The target entities are divided by projection curves. Tool Entity can be Sketch Chains, Sketches or 3D Sketches. Target entity can be Faces. If you select 2D curves, it will be projected to the normal direction of a base plane but 3D curves are projected to the face normal of target entity.

Single Direction – If selected, the projection will be done using 2D sketech’s normal direction. To reverse a direction, click the (Flip Direction) button.
Bidirection – If selected, the projection will be done to both directions. |
- Silhouette – Creates silhouette to the pull direction and split the target entities. You need to select a Pull Direction and Target Entities. Pull Direction decides the silhouette direction and it can be Ref. Vector, Ref. Plane, Sketch Chain, Curve, Sketch, 3D Sketch, Edge, Loop, Region or Face. Target Entites can be Faces.

Draft Angle – Specify the draft angle. |
- Intersection– The target entities are divided by intersecting faces. Tool Entities can be Faces, Surface Bodies or Solid Bodies. Target Entites can be Faces, Surface Bodies or Solid Bodies.
