Properties setup in delcam shoemaker

Use the Properties dialog to specify various settings associated with operation and appearance of ShoeMaker.

Save Time Warning

At regular intervals, a warning can be displayed to tell you when you last saved a model. You can set the time interval or turn off the warning.

Warning Time Delay – This defines the time interval in minutes for displaying the warning.

Warning required – If turned off, the warning is not displayed.

Long Operation Alert

ShoeMaker beeps when long operations finish.

Long Operation Time Delay – This defines the time in seconds that ShoeMaker must be busy before the operation is classed as long.

Alert required – If off, the beep is turned off.

When ShoeMaker is busy, an hourglass appears at the bottom of the screen.

Appearance

Colour Scheme – The selector contains a list of colour schemes provided. Select a colour scheme from the drop down list and press Set Colour Scheme as Default. This will save the scheme as your chosen default and this scheme will be used each time ShoeMaker is started. You can set up your own colour scheme.

Proportional Font – This font is used by the intelligent cursor. It is also the default font for creating text and for text in balloons.

Fixed Width Font – This font is used by scrolled texts in dialogs such as the Information dialog.

IC Font Height – This is the height of the font used by the intelligent cursor.

Set Colour Scheme as Default – When you select this option, the selected Colour Scheme is stored as the default and will be used each time ShoeMaker is started.

Session Options

You can store the settings on the pages of the Options dialog and use them in the next session.

Restart with Default Options – When you restart the program, the default values of the settings are used.

Restart with Current Options – When you exit the program, it remembers the latest settings on the Options dialog. When you restart the program, it will use those settings again.

Restart with Stored Options – When you exit the program, it will use your stored settings.

Store Restart Options – This stores the current settings on the Options dialog. Store the settings as follows:

  1. Set the options on all the pages of the Options dialog.
  2. Select Restart with Stored Options.
  3. Select Store Restart Options. This option is automatically deselected after you click the OK button.
  4. Click OK.

All the settings on the Options dialog are stored and will be used in the next session (providing Restart with Stored Options is turned selected).

The settings that are stored will apply to either:

a model

a session

as defined in Show difference between user and model (Options > General > Units and Tolerances). This option changes the font to indicate if the setting applies to a model or session.

Template models can be used to store the model options.

Reset / Load / Save. These buttons let you:

Reset the options to the state when ShoeMaker was started.

Load a previously saved options file.

Save the options file.

Query before starting multiple instances – If this option is selected and you try to startup another copy of the program, you will get a message displayed.
