Pipe : Options and Results

Create a new solid or add to an existing solid by creating a solid or shelled pipe. (To remove solid material, see Pipe Remove.)

Important: Pipes created by New > Pipe will be considered independent objects. Those created by Add > Pipe will be added to theactive object. (If only one object exists in the file it is automatically active unless manually deactivated or if the active object is deleted.) See Activate / Deactivate and Activating Objects.

 

Required Step 1 :

Pick a wire or curve/edge and set the pipe parameters.

The pipe shape is immediately created according to the displayed parameters.

The following parameters are displayed:

Constant This is a toggle option : Constant / Variable
Examples:

 

Pipe Diameter Set the Constant pipe diameter. 
Examples:

 

Sharp Corners This is a toggle option : Sharp Corners / Round Corners
Examples:

 

Solid This is a toggle option : Solid / Shelled
Examples:

 

Flat End This is a toggle option : Flat End / Revolved End
Examples:

 

 

Optional Step 1

Change the active object (temporarily).

 

When completed, the Pipe will appear in the Feature Tree as follows:

For Solid > Add > Pipe:bm3 For Solid > New > Pipe:bm4
