Mastercam Select Only dialog box

Set the criteria and choose the OK button. This closes the dialog box and lets you manually select any entities in the graphics window that meet the criteria. This masking method, prohibits you from selecting entities that do not match your criteria.

Notes:

• Use the Select All dialog box to automatically select all entities that match the criteria rather than manually selecting entity by entity.
• When criteria has been set in this dialog box:
  • The Only button on the General Selection ribbon bar changes color and displays an asterisk as shown below.
  • A tooltip lists your masking s
  •  elections when you roll your mouse over the Only button.
• You can change the Only button’s background color. From the Colors page of the System Configuration dialog box, choose Mask Only On Color from the list of interface items in the property pane.

Right-click menu options

Right click in the criteria list area of the Select Only dialog box to access the following menu commands:

Clear All – Clears all items in the current criteria list. Does not effect criteria types not in the active list. (To clear all selection criteria from the Select Only dialog box, click the Clear all masking button.)

Select All – Selects all items in the current criteria list. Does not effect criteria types not in the active list.

Select Entity – Returns you to the graphics window where you can choose an entity upon which your selection criteria will be based.

Hover Preview – Displays the following menu from which you can set options to temporarily display different lists depending on which criteria type button you hover your mouse over:
