liveScan™ is designed to support the collection of point cloud data of objects using various scanning devices like FARO, Perceptron, Cimcore(only probe can be used with this device), Steinbichler TScan-Optotrak(only Scan can be used), Steinbichler TScan-Leica(only Scan can be used).

Data Processing: This tab lists the detailed settings when the scan mode is enabled.
1. Device Manager | ||||
If this option is enabled, the lastly connected device is remembered and connects automatically when starting liveScan(TM). | It is used for scanning device calibration.
Connects the selected device. | It is used for scanning device settings.
It is used for probe settings of the scanner.
2. Scanner Option
General: This tab lists the general settings when the scan mode is enabled. |
||||
l Zoom Fit – Enable this option when you want to see the entire model. When this option is selected, view is refreshed if the scan line is out of screen.
l Camera – When the camera option is enabled, if the scan line is out of screen or when the angle is greater than 60 the view is refreshed. When this option is enabled, you will see only the object that is being scanned in the view.
l Slider – This slider bar can be used as a zoom tool when camera option is enabled. If the position is at Near, the model is zoomed out while scanning. If it is at Far, the model is zoomed in while scanning.
l Preview Mesh Resolution – You can adjust the mesh resolution preview while scanning. If the Coarse is selected, then fewer triangles are created. If the Fine is selected, more densed triangles are created.
l Auto Save – If this option is enabled, the row scan data is automatically saved in the specified location. A folder is automatically named by date and saved as .lsf format.
For esample; xxx/20070704/ScanRawData1_1627_1.lsf |
||||
Data Processing: This tab lists the detailed settings when the scan mode is enabled.
l Cutoff Angle – While scanning, the scanner scans the points of object with in this angle range specified.
l Filter Noise – If this option is enabled, the noise introduced in the scanning process will be reduced. |
||||
l Sample – Sampling is skipping several points. When the data set is large and it is beyond the memory limit, some points are skipped if this option is enabled.
Length – With in the specified length, the software makes sure that there is a single point. Ratio – Specifies the sampling ratio to load the points. Grid – You can specify the size of the grid. |
||||
l Triangulate
Maximum Edge Length – Indicates the maximum length of the edge while triangulation. |
||||
l Smooth
Weight – It determines the strength of smoothness. Iteraction – It determines iteratly applied smoothness. |
||||
l Import & Post Process
You can import saved lsf file which is row scan data and apply your settings in the Data Process tab. Therefore you can scan a time and apply different settings to that row data. |
||||
l Setting
Load -Imports the saved settings for the Detail tab. Save – Saves settings as an ini file. Default – Resets all settings as default values. |
||||
