Guidelines for Setting criteria in Select Only and Select All dialog boxes

The following are guidelines for setting the selection (masking) criteria in the Select Only and Select All dialog boxes:

  • Double click any item in the active list to set that one item as the only masking criteria. This double clicking applies the criteria and closes the dialog box. Other criteria types selected in this dialog box will be ignored. To apply multiple criteria settings when double-clicking, select items and then hold down the [Ctrl] key while you double click the last item.
  • To select noncontiguous choices in the Criteria list area, choose the first selection, hold down the [Ctrl] key, then choose other selections.
  • To select href=”javascript:void(0);” id=”a2″ onmouseover=”= 4 && typeof(BSPSPopupOnMouseOver) == ‘function’) BSPSPopupOnMouseOver(event);” onclick=”BSSCPopup(‘Contiguous_selection.htm’);return false;”>contiguous choices, choose the first selection, hold down the [Shift] key, and choose the last selection.
  • If any entities are displayed with temporary colors (such as group or results colors), your selection, if based on appearance, may not be accurate. Before opening the Select All dialog box, choose Screen, Clear Colors to display the true colors of all entities.
