Before you can synchronize tool paths, you must retrieve a machine from NX Library into your CAM part. The machine must have a machine model part file including a kinematics model. When a machine is retrieved into the CAM session, the software generates a group node in the Machine Tool view of the Operation Navigator for every device and device holder defined in the machine tool model. Common devices are tool carriers, such as turrets and heads. Common device holders are the tool pockets on these carriers. Other devices include chucks, steady rests and tailstocks.
