Enlarge option in Rapidform XOR

Select > Enlargecommand enlarges the selected entities by the specified depth or angle. Depends on the selected entity, the options in the dialog tree are different. Before executing this command, there should have some entity selected already. If not, this command is disabled.

Note

The possible entities that can be enlarged are poly-faces/poly-vertices/face/edge

How to use Enlarge command

Select faces as the below image.

Select Select> Enlargein the menu or click the icon image47_392in the toolbar. Change Angle to 15 degree.

Click OK.

Type To Select – Shows the type of selected entities.

 

  • Poly-Faces/Poly-Vertices/Faces/Edges – Add the entities to enlarge.
  • Depth – When you select poly-faces/poly-vertices, this option is enabled. If you use this option, region is enlarged with the specified depth.

  • Angle – When you select poly-faces/poly-vertices, this option is enabled. If you use this option, region is enlarged with in the specified angle. This is the angle between the normal of the selected poly-faces/poly-vertices and the normal of the adjacent poly-faces/poly-vertices.

  • Angle Tolerance – When you select edge/face, this option is enabled. Faces/edges are selected in the specified angle tolerance. This is the angle between the tangent of the selected faces/edges and the tangent of the adjacent faces/edges.

  • Forward Depth – When you select edge/face, this option is enabled. You can specify the forward depth to select the edge.

  • Backward Depth – When you select edge/face, this option is enabled. You can specify the backward depth to the selected edge. This is in the other direction of the forward depth.
