- If you are dividing with faces, you can only select one object to divide.
- The dividing faces can also be individual faces (not attached to open or closed objects). See Dividing an Object by Individual Faces.
- When dividing by more than one face, all selected faces must be continuous.

Set the Divide > By Object parameters as required and pick the face(s) of the object you wish to use as the dividing entity. (You can use the Selection Filter to enable you to select faces.) In this case, select the five continuous faces of the top surface of the blue object. Press exit when the faces are selected.
Press OK or Apply in the Feature Guide to complete the function.
