Boundary Fit option in Rapidform XOR

Using this command, you can create the surface by fitting the boundary in mesh data.

Mesh Curves – You can specify the curve or 3D sketch to create the boundary fit.

  • Curve Loope – If you select mesh curves, the application automatically recongnize loops from curves. You can add or remove loopes by selecting.
  • Use Mesh Normal to Evaluate Loop Winding– If this option is enabled, mesh normals are used to evaluate the loop winding.
795

  • Allow Hole(Boundary) – If this option is enabled, though there exists a hole in the mesh, surface is created.

796

  • Allowable Convex Ratio – Allowable convex or concave ratio to create surface between loop and inside shape of loop.

797

  • Resolution – Resolution method to fit the mesh.

a)By Allowable Deviation – If this option is enabled, you can specify a tolerance value to create the surface from mesh. Tolerance is the allowable deviation.

Allowable Deviation– Fitting tolerance value when the Resolution method is By Tolerance.

Outlier Percentage For Allowable Deviation–Outlier may contain noise data in the mesh data so you can decide the percentage of outlier. Set the value in the Tolerance tab of Preference; File > Preference.

Maximum No. Of Control Point– In the range of deviation, the application automatically creates surface with control points within the maximum number of control points.

Regularize Control Point Count Of Patch Network– If you check this option, the application tries to make regular number of control points comparing with neighbor surfaces.

798

b) By No. of Control Points – If this option is enabled, you can select the
number of control points to fit the region or mesh as surface.

No. Of U Control Points – You can specify the number of control points in U direction to fit the region.

No. Of V Control Points – You can specify the number of control points in V direction to fit the region.

Set Manually– You can manually input the number of U or V control points by selecting curve in the model view.

  • Smoothness – Smoothness of the surface.

804

  • Set Sharp Edge – If this option is enabled, tangent constraint is removed to the selected edges.

805

  • Resample Mesh– If this option is enabled, the application creates regular size of iso lines. We recommend using this option except complicate shape of mesh inside the loops.
